About the association
Rooted in Latvia’s craft, built for its professional future.
We are a registered Latvian non-profit association serving dry construction and finishing enterprises, experienced masters, developing specialists, educators, and sector partners.

Institutional background
A shared platform for standards, skills, and responsible cooperation
Latvijas Sausās Būves Un Apdares Darbu Uzņēmumu Un Meistaru Biedrība, known in English as the Latvian Dry Construction and Finishing Works Enterprises and Masters Association, exists to advance professional practice within the dry construction and finishing sector. The association provides an organized setting in which enterprises and individual masters can exchange knowledge, improve competence, discuss common challenges, and contribute to stronger expectations for quality and safety.
Construction quality depends on more than materials or equipment. It depends on people who understand systems, interpret specifications, coordinate with other trades, prepare surfaces correctly, document work, identify risks, and take responsibility for the finished result. The association’s institutional purpose is to support that professional culture in a consistent, credible, and community-oriented way.
Operating from Rīga and serving interests across Latvia, the association seeks constructive relationships with businesses, vocational education providers, instructors, sector experts, public institutions, and organizations that share an interest in competent and sustainable building practice.

Governance and accountability
A non-profit institution with a public-facing professional purpose
The association acts within its statutes and applicable Latvian law. Its organizational work is guided by the interests of the association’s mission, responsible governance, appropriate recordkeeping, and transparent communication with members and external stakeholders. Activities are intended to advance professional and sector objectives rather than distribute profit for private benefit.
Formal decisions, representation, membership matters, and partnerships are managed through the association’s governing arrangements. Where a request concerns a regulated legal, safety, certification, or technical matter, the association encourages consultation with the appropriate licensed professional or competent authority. This distinction protects the integrity of our educational and representative role.
